You are probably reading this because you are concerned about your child’s future, but don’t know how best to help them.

Working to support young children in their learning is something that most of us enjoy as parents. We can help you to do this in ways that don’t detract from that enjoyment, but give you that extra knowledge which will make all future learning more productive for your child.

As children get older, the work gets more difficult and the pressures increase. Quite often, at this stage, the question is not just, “How can I help?” but, “How can I help without driving myself or my child to distraction?!”.

At Confident Learning we want to encourage parents to be supportive in ways that are stress-free but extremely powerful. The key is not to take on the role of teacher, but to provide the student with a back-up system that no teacher can! This means helping them to maximize their own motivation and learning potential, whilst providing the environment and resources they need to help them to study effectively. One piece of good news is that our approach to this is cost-effective: you won’t be following the traditional route of spending vast amounts of money on ‘Revision Guides’ that can often remain largely unused!

Please look to see whether the services that we offer on our Learners page would be of interest to your particular learner. Pointing them in that direction could, in itself, make a huge positive difference to their future. In addition, the services that we provide directly for you should help you to make a positive contribution without resulting in family tension!

Our services for parents/carers include:

  • One-to-One guidance about the ways in which you can support your learner (this can be achieved in a face-to-face meeting or online).

  • Provision of questionnaires that can help your learner to work out how best they can learn/revise.

  • Information sheets about well-being and creating an effective learning environment.

  • Parents’ workshops. These take place at various UK locations, but are also available ‘on-site’, so perhaps you might ask the PTA at your child’s school if they would be interested in contacting us to arrange a workshop specifically for them.

Please contact us to find out more about the above options, or to tell us about any particular concerns that you have. We are happy to help in any way that we can.
